Introduction to The Fundamentals of Care Framework – Webinar

This webinar will provide a comprehensive introduction to the Fundamentals of Care Framework.
Dr Rebecca Feo will give an overview of the Framework and demonstrate how it offers an innovative approach to understanding and delivering fundamental care. In particular, the webinar will explore:
- how the Framework builds on established nursing and healthcare theories
- how the Framework can align with and support existing healthcare agendas, including quality and safety
The webinar will showcase how the Framework acts as a value-add across healthcare systems globally, helping to lay the foundation for high-quality, person-centred care.

Dr Rebecca Feo
Dr Feo is a Senior Research Fellow in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Flinders University, Australia. Since beginning work in academia in 2015, Dr Feo has achieved national and international recognition for her research on fundamental care and specifically the role of professional therapeutic relationships and communication in ensuring high-quality fundamental care delivery. She has led seminal work in this space, including refining the Fundamentals of Care Framework in 2017. In recognition of her substantial research expertise and impact, in 2023 Dr Feo was appointed the inaugural ILC Erik Sorensen Foundation Fellow for Research. In 2024, Dr Feo was named one of the top 2% of scientists worldwide in the Stanford University/Elsevier Global Rankings, further demonstrating her substantial international leadership in fundamental care research.
