Special Interest Groups

ILC Special Interest Groups

ILC special interest groups provide a mechanism to bring together ILC members with a particular interest in fundamental care in either, research, education or practice. These groups meet virtually 4x per year and aim to gather individuals with similar interests in order to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst our community.

The Fundamentals of Care Special Interest Groups are:

Aim: to support the conduct and dissemination of a coherent research programme within the ILC in order to improve knowledge of, and the evidence base for, fundamental care.

Aim: To support collaboration, resource and method development for valuing, prioritisation and implementation of teaching fundamental care across all health professional and carer educational activity internationally.

We are looking to establish an ILC FoC Practice Group. If you are interested in convening this group, please get in touch with us by emailing [email protected]

The Fundamentals of Care Special Interest Groups will meet quarterly each year. We aim to share the times of meetings around in order to make sure all regions can attend at least 2x meetings at a convenient time.
