This webinar hosted by Dr Rebecca Feo, will explore one of the most powerful—yet often overlooked—drivers of quality care: the relationship between healthcare professionals and the people they care for.

We’ll dive into why high-quality therapeutic relationships are not just “nice to have,” but essential for better outcomes across the board—for patients, healthcare professionals, and the systems they work within. From improving patient experience and safety to supporting staff wellbeing and retention, strong relationships sit at the heart of truly effective care.

You’ll also gain insight into how relationships are currently experienced within healthcare settings—what works, what doesn’t, and where gaps often exist. By reflecting on real-world experiences, we’ll uncover the subtle (and not-so-subtle) factors that shape connection, trust, and communication in everyday care delivery.

Most importantly, this session will look forward. We’ll explore what needs to change to ensure that relationships are prioritised—not sidelined—within healthcare systems globally. Expect practical ideas, fresh perspectives, and a compelling case for placing human connection back at the centre of care.

Whether you’re a clinician, leader, or policymaker, this webinar will challenge you to think differently about the role of relationships in healthcare—and what it will take to strengthen them.

Please note: This is an ILC Member only event. please make sure your membership is up to date before RSVP’ing. We will be recording the session for those who cannot make it live.
