The ILC Annual International Conference is the signature event for the ILC and brings together our global community of fundamental care experts and champions from practice, research, education and policy.
The upcoming 2025 ILC Annual International Conference will shine a light on the effective collaborations fostered through the ILC’s global advocacy and network. By engaging with and learning from their international peers, nurses and allied health professionals gain the strength and inspiration needed to lead and innovate in care delivery. Their local actions are vital, not only in improving patient outcomes but also in boosting the morale and well-being of healthcare professionals.

Key Speakers
Professor Alison Kitson – Australia
Professor Alison Kitson is the ILC Chairperson and Vice President & Executive Dean, College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Flinders University. Alison has had a long, successful career in executive leadership, education and research in the UK and Australia, publishing extensively in the areas of fundamental care and implementation science. Professor Kitson is amongst the top 2% of all researchers in the world, based on her work in fundamental care and implementation science.
Professor Loredana Sasso – Italy
Professor Sasso is the Scientific Director at the Centre of Excellence for Research and the Development of Nursing (CERSI), set up in Rome with the Italian National Regulatory Board of Nursing (FNOPI). She is a freelance Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Genoa, Italy. Loredana is the first Italian nurse to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing in 2016.
Dr Linda Aiken
Linda H. Aiken, PhD, RN, FAAN, FRCN is Professor of Nursing and Sociology, Founding Director of Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research, and Senior Fellow of Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Dr. Aiken is an NIH-funded investigator and author of more than 400 scientific papers. She is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine, former President of the American Academy of Nursing, and an honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Nursing. Dr. Aiken received the Christiane Reimann Prize from the International Council of Nurses, and the Episteme and Researcher Hall of Fame awards from Sigma Theta Tau International. Dr. Aiken co-directs Magnet4Europe.
